Hello World
They're the words all new programmers see when they first learn to code. Seeing as this is my first post here, I thought it would be fitting.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Szymon Dabrowski and I'm a new Sitecore Programmer. I came to Sitecore after first owning and running an ecommerce business for 7 years. Switching jobs, I became a software developer and have been programming professionally for about a year and a half, most of it involving Sitecore. I am currently working my way through Sitecore 9.0 Developer Certification, and I also intend on documenting that to help others who are interested in following along the same path.
Why SitecoreScrub?
My coworkers and I have an inside joke. You see, several of us are new programmers, at the bottom of the totem pole, so we call each other "scrubs". Eventually we may stop, but I have a feeling that even when we become senior developers, the "scrub" name will still stick. Regardless, I won't be buying a new domain name for this blog. 😃
Follow me on my journey as I learn the in's and out's of Sitecore from a newbie's perspective. Even Sitecore Superstars once started as newbies, so I hope that everyone can gain something from this blog. My goal is to eventually learn everything there is to know about Sitecore, but as go, I am realizing that there will always be even more to learn.
So until next time...
